Account Executive

United Way of Buffalo & Erie County is seeking a results-driven professional who thrives on building relationships and growing support for a meaningful mission. In this role, you will identify new donor opportunities, cultivate partnerships, and generate flexible funding that directly supports programs for ALICE (Asset Limited Income Constrained Employed) members of our community. This position is full-time and reports to the Director of Corporate Partnerships. 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proven ability to drive donor engagement, cultivate new opportunities, and strengthen long-term partnerships 
  • Create and execute year round sales plan; to achieve annual assigned revenue goal 
  • Secure sponsorships that support key United Way events & initiatives
  • Represent United Way at key community events
  • Strong presentation skills that explain and promote United Way’s Impact agenda 
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, including public speaking.
  • Results driven ability to execute on effective fundraising ability
  • Increase individual donor support

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3–5 years of experience in fundraising or sales in a nonprofit environment.
  • CRM experience required; working knowledge of Salesforce a plus.
  • Must be detailed oriented; work well within deadlines   
  • Travel required across Western New York; occasional domestic travel for training or conferences.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the Buffalo & Erie County community.
